Founder · Usui Reiki Master · CBT Certified Practitioner
Creator of the Evergy Method™ · Blending neuroscience-based subconscious belief work with energy healing for embodied change.
Throughout those years, I travelled the world while constantly searching for deeper answers through talk therapy, personal development, plant medicine, energy work and healing traditions I encountered along the way.
By my early thirties, I had the successful career, my own apartment, my car and the stable, independent life I had worked for.
But I still felt there was more for me, and I knew something had to change.
I was still repeating cycles I understood but couldn’t seem to break. So I left the career and security I had spent years building and moved from Vancouver to Mexico City without a plan. And my patterns came with me.
I became obsessed with understanding why I could know myself so well, have tried so much, and still experience the same patterns. I read, researched and experimented, became a Reiki Master, trained as a CBT practitioner, and became fascinated by early childhood development and the relationship between our earliest experiences, subconscious beliefs, the nervous system, the body and energy.
As I began connecting those pieces and applying them to my own life, my experience began to change. My anxiety and depression, motivation, relationships, how I showed up in the world and even how other people experienced me all shifted. My sensitivity and ADHD, once sources of overwhelm, became some of the qualities I valued most in myself.
It was in Mexico City that I developed the concept for Evergy.
I moved to Costa Rica specifically to build it.
There, I gave myself the space to turn the concept into a practice and began working with my first clients.
What started as a search to change my own life became Evergy.
I’ve always been highly sensitive. As a child, I noticed everything: changes in people’s moods, the energy in a room, the subtle things other people seemed to move past. I experienced anxiety from a young age, and by university, I was experiencing clinical depression.
That began what would become a nearly 20-year search to understand myself and find a way to feel different in my own life.
At the same time, I was building a successful life on the outside. I spent 17 years in customer service, eventually becoming a General Manager. The business flourished, I led large teams, and I learned how differently people communicate, learn and respond. I saw how changing the language, approach or energy I brought into an interaction could completely shift its outcome.
About Evergy Studio
Evergy was built around one question:
Why do the same patterns keep repeating, even when we know what we want to change?
We can become incredibly self-aware. We can recognize the relationship dynamic we keep repeating, the trigger that gets us every time, the fear that stops us from saying what we actually think, or the reaction that feels disproportionate to what is happening in front of us.
We can learn tools to manage those responses too.
But knowing what you want to change and being able to change your automatic response are two different things.
That gap is where Evergy works.
The Evergy Method™ is an approach to subconscious belief work that brings together neuroscience, early childhood development, memory reconsolidation, somatic awareness and energy work.
Rather than only working with the pattern as it appears today, we look at what taught your mind and body to respond that way in the first place.
Our earliest experiences shape beliefs about love, worth, safety and who we need to be. Those beliefs can continue influencing our reactions long after we consciously know something different.
That’s why you can know you’re allowed to set the boundary and still feel guilty when you do it. Know someone else’s reaction isn’t your responsibility and still feel compelled to fix it. Know you’re capable and still hesitate when it’s time to be seen.
Evergy works with the beliefs underneath those responses so the work isn’t only about becoming better at managing what happens after you’re triggered. It’s about changing what your system is responding to in the first place.
The goal is not to become someone new. It’s to create more space for who you are when fear isn’t making so many of your decisions.
Evergy is for people who know there is something they want to change, whether or not they understand where the pattern came from yet.
You don’t need more awareness before you begin. Finding what sits underneath the pattern is part of the work.
Sessions are available online worldwide and in person in Vancouver.

The Evergy Method™ works through memory reconsolidation, a neurological process that allows the brain to permanently update the emotional memories driving your patterns. Most approaches work at the level of conscious thought. Evergy works at the level of subconscious memory, where beliefs are actually stored. The pattern is not managed. It is resolved at the source. As beliefs clear, metacognition develops naturally, giving you the ability to observe your own thoughts and reactions in real time and choose differently.
-
Most modalities including talk therapy, mindset coaching, and affirmation-based work operate in beta, the waking analytical brain state. Beta creates awareness of a pattern but cannot access or change where it lives. Evergy works in theta, the brainwave state where subconscious beliefs are stored and memory reconsolidation becomes possible. This is not a philosophical difference. It is a neurological one.
-
Yes. The depth of the Evergy Method™ is not dependent on location. The theta state and memory reconsolidation process are internal, not environmental. Many clients find online sessions equally powerful and at times more precise, because the body is fully settled in a familiar space. What matters is the quality of your internal state during the session, not where you are sitting.
-
This work is for people who are ready to stop managing and start resolving. If the same patterns keep showing up no matter what you try, Evergy is designed for that.
-
Affirmations work in beta. They attempt to overwrite a subconscious belief using the conscious mind, which does not have access to where that belief is stored. The original belief remains intact underneath, still running in the background. Memory reconsolidation does not compete with the old belief. It updates it directly.
-
Theta is the slow brainwave frequency accessed in deep meditation, hypnosis, and the moments just before sleep. It is the state where the subconscious mind becomes receptive and emotional memories can be reactivated and rewritten. Most healing modalities never reach theta. Without it, you are working in the wrong brain state to produce root-level change.
-
Reaching theta is necessary but not sufficient. Many programs use guided meditation, breathwork, or visualization to access a theta state and stop there, assuming the state alone produces change. It does not. Theta creates the conditions for memory reconsolidation. Without accessing the specific memory where a belief was formed and actively updating it while it is neurologically open, the subconscious pattern remains intact. You may feel deeply relaxed or have a profound experience. The belief that was running before will still be running after. Evergy uses theta as the entry point, not the destination.
-
The nervous system is part of the process but not the focus. Evergy uses somatic and nervous system regulation to guide you into a safe, receptive theta state. From there the work moves into memory and belief, which is where lasting change actually happens. Regulating the nervous system alone does not resolve the subconscious beliefs activating it.
-
Metacognition is the ability to observe your own mind in real time, to notice a thought, reaction, or pattern as it arises and consciously choose your response. Most people cannot access this while subconscious fear-based beliefs are running in the background because those beliefs distort perception before conscious thought can intervene. When the beliefs are gone, metacognition becomes natural. You stop reacting from old programming and start responding from genuine self-awareness. This is what makes continued growth possible without constant effort.
-
As subconscious beliefs resolve, clients develop the ability to observe their own thoughts and patterns in real time rather than being unconsciously driven by them. Decisions feel easier, boundaries become natural, and the emotional charge behind old triggers dissolves. This is not a coping skill. It is a permanent shift in how you operate. Over time clients notice changes in their relationships, work, and what they attract as their internal foundation reorganizes.
-
Evergy is trauma informed but not trauma centered. While early memories and formative experiences are part of the work, the focus is not on reliving or processing the past. It is on updating the belief the experience created so it no longer shapes your present.
-
No. Change happens through experience and integration, not intellectual understanding. Many clients begin noticing shifts in how they feel and respond before they can explain what changed.
